Well, today we (DBOYS 2004 - 2005) performed for the very last time ...
And it still hasn't hit me that for the past year of my life i've been a delivery boy ... why this is, i dont understand. I see former DBoys and i go, "wow, yeeeah Dboy!" I think of this past year and i think hmmm, "this is fun, wait, i'm a DBoy?"
Its been an amazing year, an amazing journey ... a journey that only fueled my passion even more to be involved in youth ministry for the rest of my life. A journey that has helped me and forced me to grow beyond what i could have ever drempt. There was no regrets, no problems, no worries, no turmoil ... a little too sureal of a year, or rather ... an extremely blessed year.
God has shown me that he can use anybody to reach the youth of this world if you are willing and able. He can touch hearts and change lives no matter who's leading worship or speaking. He can move in So Cal, Montana, and Oregon all in the same minute ... He is an amazingly HUGE God that we cannot even fathom ... He Loves His people. Who are we to be loved by the God of all creation? Blows my mind ...
To the youth of the world, thank you for laughing at us (or with us), thank you for believing in yourself, you are the future and you can do it.
I'm gonna miss this ministry ... a lot. I'm gonna miss the best three guys in my life right now. I'm gonna miss having the right to act like the biggest idiot in front of thousands of kids and be "cool." But what i wont miss is the memories , rather i will cherish them, because those are pictures of our lives that can never be taken away from us, never changed, and never replicated by anyone and i am thankful for that.
I have been more blessed by our sister Entourage team more than i truly believe they know. I've never had a sister, but now i have four. They have tought me more about myself than alot of people here at VU, challenging me with truth, love, and acceptance. Thank you girls for loving me for who i am and always encouraging me through everything. You were the first i would goto when i need help with girl sitautions and you were always honest ... and it always helped. Thank you girls for shining bright in my heart .. i love ya!
So what's next? I dunno, but He does ... and i'm ok with that. :)
